Marijuana Vegetative Growth
Once established your seedlings will soon enter a vigorous vegetative growth stage. From such fragile beginnings plants quickly become full and robust. Unlike growing marijuana indoors you have no control over the duration of the vegetative growth stage and over the course of a summer plants can become huge. It is a good idea during this phase to feed your plants well with some quality, nitrogen rich, fertilizer.

aussiebud, u should move it to the forest but make sure to use proper soil and dig deep, the deeper the hole the better. also weed around the plant and protect it with chicken wire to protect it from unwanted animals.(deer love to eat weed)
i dont know what to do i planted this seed i got from a bag i bought and its june i planted it a month ago and its already 4 and a half foot with a 3 foot diameter and it smells really really skunky and also itss in my back yard and the nieghbors a cop….. what do i doo i think its to big to move cuz the cop will see me bringing it down the driveway
Spray the plant with water mixed with soap to kill the smell of the plants lol
hi i have some clones that started indoors and i would like to plant them outside they have great roots and i live in so cal so its getn hot do i have to introduce them to sunlight gradualy or can i just plant my babies outside rightaway?
You could put them out but keep a close eye or else it will dry up.
Do you really need 18 hours of light per day to grow? If this is so, how does marijuana ever grow outside? I can’t think of anywhere in the world that has 18 hours of sunlight per day.
Admin: Some people grow them in the desert with a massive water supply dug into the ground to get the full 18 hours. But you are right 18 hours is not realisitc. i planted about 10 plants in the middle of may and were haveing a crappy summer this year rained half of july plants are about 3 ft tall shouldnt i be seeing some kind of buds starting by now
they dont start to bud till they get 12 hrs of light i live in wa have my card so im legal first time grower just a little worried cuz of the short summer
How long does it take to grow a plant?

I’m crap on computers, but for a 1st time grower im the bollocks, I just grew 2 plants this year. and i,ve just recently cropped them, I,ve looked on the internet all through the growing process to get tips and i asked mates who new what they was doing. I.ve just got 8 onces of each plant which sold like cream cakes, and everyone is going mad for it, only thing is, i didn’t keep them going, how do i put pics on here?? i would love you all to see the photos. And can i grow the cut back stems again?? the trunks are at least 1and a half inch thick.

I recently planted some seeds in a pot not really thinking they would grow and they are sprouting like crazy…..but not thinking they would ALL sprout I put a lot of seeds and now they are growing all on top of each other. Should I try and move some to another pot or just let them grow???

you should set them on window seals for a few hours a day so they get used to natural light. then you can plant them outside but be sure to watch them for at least 3 weeks for any thing different
Ok I was told by a buddy to start plucking the first leaves as the start growing taller towards the sun. Any suggestions?? They are ready for the transplant and this is my 1st attempt.
GhettoRedneck……Think of the leaves as the batteries of the plant. To get fastest growth, never, let me say it again…NEVER remove green leaves. Also, prune to open the middle of the plant so you won’t be tempted to remove large, shade making leaves. And keep this thought in your head : This is not your 1st attempt, this is your 1st crop! The girls (plants) will absolutely love you and in return you will love and care for them
until a very happy harvest. Be proud of your crop because the girls will be proud to give you their best. May sound silly, but give them a good positive home. Play music. Talk to them. Buy a book. Good luck.
Kjack…As carefully as you can, separate the little things. You absolutely do not want them to all grow together, Your yield would be 0.1 (one tenth) or less what you will get if you SEPARATE ! Each in its own container. Have fun.
Wazza…Sea weed or kelp, soak and clean off the salt, dry and chop fine. This is THE best organic fertilizer Known to man. If you happen to live by the ocean, kelp is the only complete org. fert. that I know of. One simple food for life, nothing more but water. It’s expensive at your local plant dealer but worth it because it’s so simple! Take a drive to the coast. Good luck.
Big bud boy…I hope you don’t really pee on your plants. Let people here know you’re kidding. Peeing beside the container will help (yes, only help) keep critters away. If you pee in the container, you will badly upset the PH and burn the plant and that plant will die a horrible death. Guess what the other plants will be thinking!!!
Wazza…. forgot to mention…high nitrogen fert. (and Theo says VERY high) will prevent your plants from starting to flower because of the longer night. Keep in mind that the shortening Fall days (ergo longer nights) are what the plants sense in order to start flowering. You don’t want that to happen. Try 2X what the instructions say for nitrogen when vegging. Leaves turning yellow or white or white tips is normal. If they start to wilt (fall down, loose leaves), give them a nice rinse with pure water and they’ll recover but still probably not start flowering. Good luck.
