Hindu Kush marijuana seeds originally referred to any marijuana originating in the Hindu Kush area of northern Pakistan, Afghanistan and northern India. As such, the term Hindu Kush cannabis may include many original Himalayan landrace strains, the exact genetics of which would be difficult to unravel.
In general, Hindu Kush cannabis seeds were one of the first strains of cannabis to be brought back to the west by explorers hundreds of years ago. Hindu Kush weed is typical Indica with a fairly short and squat appearance and small, dark buds with tan coloured trichomes. This is the weed from which we get hand rolled finger hash like charas and cream.
To smoke, Hindu Kush weed is very potent. It has a strong, quite harsh, hashy flavour and a deep, long lasting body stone effect that can be quite trippy and overwhelming. Hindu Kush weed is responsible for many quality hybrids and is one of the great, original landrace strains of cannabis.
