Juanita La Lagrimosa from Reggae Seeds of Spain is a sativa dominant plant with a CBD:THC ratio of greater than 1:1, making it an excellent medical marijuana strain. Many of the medical marijuana (high CBD) strains that are currently available to medicinal users owe their high CBD genetics to this strain. These strains include Dance Hall, also from Reggae Seeds, Royal Medic from Royal Queen Seeds and the famous Cannatonic from Resin Seeds. Juanita La Lagrimosa has been brought to us by Reggae Seeds but in fact represents a collaboration between several seed banks. There are other versions available, notably by Elite Seeds, although that version was also created in collaboration with Reggae Seeds. Some accounts state that Juanita La Lagrimosa is the product of a breeding program involving NYC Diesel, but we can find no evidence of that. It seems more likely that she is a cross between a Mexican/Afghan male and a Reina Madre (Queen Mother) female. As well as being considered one of the first and best CBD strains, Juanita La Lagrimosa is a first class recreational strain in her own right. She smokes with a nice fruity taste and lemon haze aroma. She also produces plenty of quality resin, making for some high quality extractions. When smoked Jaunita La lagrimosa delivers a clean and upbeat high that is energetic and fully functional. This is not relaxing weed and is a good choice for day time tokers. Literally translated, Juanita La Lagrimosa means "tearful Jane" in English. However, nothing could be further from the truth. There's nothing tearful about this strain.
